Weather Reporter hardware

Robust mast and sensors

Weather Reporter

The Weather Reporter mast fitted onto the school roof has sensors that continuously record the weather as it happens and store hourly and daily summaries. Wind speed (average and gusts), wind direction, temperature, rainfall, pressure and humidity are recorded hourly with maximum and minimum temperature, sunshine hours and day length added for daily data summaries.

Data is stored in the mast for download via a cable when required, but the system can be permanently attached to a network station for automatic download at regular intervals and remote access via the internet if required.

Sensors are calibrated to Meteorological Office standards and all parts have one year’s warranty, spare parts and refurbishment service with free technical helpline

The Weather Reporter has a Silver Award from the Geographical Association.
